"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower"- Albert Camus
It's finally that time of the year again. The leaves start to change, the air gets crisp, and all things pumpkin and apple have started taking over (not that there is anything wrong with that). I love October and I may be biased because I'm an October baby. But, I don't know there's just something that has always drawn me to this month. The clothes, the food, the holidays maybe. Whatever it is, it makes me happy.
This year fall is a little different for me because instead of spending it at home in Ohio I'm spending it in Europe. I'm currently in Strasbourg, France until December spending a semester studying abroad. And fall is celebrated a little differently here. Let's just say I won't be picking out a great Halloween costume and passing out candy like I normally do. But, I will be spending it traveling and seeing the world, which is the best treat of them all.
Fall also feels like a season of rebirth to me. The year is starting to wind down and now is the perfect time to reflect on the year and everything that you've accomplished. It's also a great time to prepare for the new year. But why wait three months to start your goals when you have now. The fall is the perfect time to start realign yourself with your plans and goals. Maybe I'm feeling extra motivated because of Libra season or maybe because I know how amazing these last few months are going to be with my calendar already filled up with trips. But, whatever and wherever this motivation came from I am grabbing on and not letting go.
